It’s been a while! But A LOT has been happening, which I’ll explain over the next couple of blogs. Its been a busy and odd year so far – and I’m so glad to have you with me along the way.
I breached 2021 knowing this year was going to be a biggie. One reason is that my debut novel, Composite Creatures, is finally being released on 13th April! After me persistently teasing it for what feels like a couple of years now, it’s finally hitting the shelves, and the earliest reviews are starting to hit Goodreads.
I was invited onto BBC Radio Newcastle last week to talk about the book, writing with a day job, and to give some advice for novice writers keen to start their own novels, poems, or stories.
You can listen to the broadcast for the next few weeks here (fast forward to 1 hour 10 minutes in, if you want to skip straight to my bit!)
Over the next couple of months I’ll be blogging and posting about some very exciting stuff on the run-up to the book’s release, including a collaboration with another author and a super duper book launch! Eeek!
Pre-orders still matter hugely! If you’d like to support this humble author and a hugely experimental independent press, consider picking up a copy. I’ve pre-ordered lots of books over the last few months and it’s always a lovely surprise when they land on my doorstep. Curious to see what happens when you pre-order a book? Find out in my recent blog post!
I’ll be back soon with another post about why this year is going to be extra challenging, due to a new phase of life I’ve entered into…
Speak soon,
C 🙂
